Young people are often not well prepared to cope with many important financial matters they will be confronted with. ClearPoint Financial Solutions (formerly ByDesign Financial Solutions) can help prepare teens, in a proactive way, before they are faced with these issues. Our Financial Firsts Program guides participants as they maneuver through the first six critical financial decisions they will encounter - first checking account, first job, first car purchase, first credit card account, first home-away-from-home, and first college education. This educational program may be presented in one day, or in six separate workshops. Through this program, attendees will be prepared to:
- Choose and manage a checking account;
- Create a resume, plan for an interview, and secure a job;
- Shop for, purchase, and maintain a car;
- Obtain and properly handle a credit card account; and
- Live on their own, away from home, with or without a roommate; and
- Choose a college, choose a major, and understand options for paying tuition.
The cost for the program is $99, unless you enroll in the Debt Management Plan, in which case, it's included in your "Financial Education Toolkit." This covers the cost of the Financial Firsts book and the associated 12-hours of workshop time run by ClearPoint in our Los Angeles, Sacramento, Stockton and Fresno offices.
