The Pre-Discharge Internet Self-Study course from ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions* is a self-paced online education course offered over the Internet and the most convenient option for many since it can be taken from the comfort of your home or office at the time of your choosing.

How The Internet Self-Study Course Works:

  • First, register for the online course.  OR, you may call 1.888.560.2227 (CCCS) and request the forms to be faxed or mailed to you.
  • Please print and read the forms carefully.  Please fax the Pre-Discharge Internet Study Documents and ID to 804.236.3816.  The Affidavit must be signed by you and notarized by a notary public or signed your attorney and it must be returned with a copy of a government issued picture identification card (driver’s license, state ID, etc…).
  • Upon receipt of completed documents, you will receive an email with a link, a login ID, and password informing you that you are now eligible to begin your online course.
    • It will take you approximately 2 hours to complete this course.  You will be able to read the material and take short quizzes throughout the self-study.  It is a requirement under the law that consumers spend an appropriate amount of time online studying the material to assure educational value.
    • Upon completion of the course, ClearPoint will generate and email your certificate within 1 business day.
