Pre-Discharge Workshop
The Pre-Discharge Education Workshop from ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions* is an in-person seminar. Attendees can ask questions and benefit from the experiences of other people in the class. Many find taking a workshop the most enjoyable and motivating method of learning.
At this time, our Pre-Discharge Workshops are only available in Los Angeles, California.
How The Workshop Process Works:

You may pre-pay for your Workshop session now using the links below (please be sure to enter the client’s name and client number or telephone number [for internal tracking only]), or upon arrival to the session. You may also pay for the service when you schedule the Workshop appointment by providing your debit card number to our representative.
The workshop covers a number of financial literacy topics, including:
- Creating a personal budget;
- Establishing financial goals;
- Reducing expenses and increasing income;
- Evaluating insurance needs;
- Properly handling a checking account;
- Using credit wisely;
- Addressing debt;
- Obtaining credit reports;
- Improving credit reports and credit scores; and
- Avoiding becoming a victim of identity theft.
By attending a workshop, you will earn a certificate that meets the pre-discharge debtor education requirement of the new bankruptcy reform legislation, BAPCPA. ClearPoint is approved to issue certificates [evidencing completion of a personal finance management course] in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code.
